The Leard Forest Listen Up #3:
A DIY Bush Blockade concert and Arts Festival
27th – 30th September, 2013
Leard State Forest near Boggabri NSW
This is going to be a weekend of ace performance at the Front Line Action on Coal Camp
Mining corporations Whitehaven and Idemitsu have been permitted to turn an ecologically important slice of state forest and surrounds, into three vast open cut mines. Draining the water table, destroying farmland and forest. Local farmers, Traditional owners and the forest blockaders have been campaigning to halt the expanding mines.
“The Leard Forest Listen Up” Gig is unnerving and awesome performances taking place in a stunning forest, at the powerful site of a direct action blockade.

Without action this forest will be further destroyed. Coal chaos affects our everyday, whether it’s our health, our homes or the opportunities available to us within an economy prostrate to the mining dollar. This gig will celebrate the land and is an opportunity for people to come out, enjoy and support the camp.
