24-26 August, Songs for Social Justice

Singing together for change

I’m involved in organising this weekend of sharing political songs in Surry Hills. On the Friday night will be a concert showcasing some of the talent in social change music in Australia and then the Saturday and Sunday are filled with singing – sharing songs, teaching songs, writing songs, it’s all there.

I’m going to host a song-sharing circle of “Songs that Comment on Our Movement for Change” and I’ll be bringing a few of my own and a few others to the circle. You’re also invited to bring songs on the theme, to that and all the other song-sharing circles.

The cost for the weekend is $50 (or $35 unwaged) and there are single-day tickets for $20 (or $15 unwaged).
